Linocut Printmaking

Sunday 16th February 2014, 12.30pm – 5pm, £30

Be inspired by the wonder of nature to create a unique linocut print. You will be given an introduction to lino cutting and look at examples of how contemporary artists have used this technique. After completing a range of exercises to develop your skills with the lino cutter you will create a final design from which to print. All materials and tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own.

Papercut Typography

Sunday 9th March, 12.30pm – 5pm, £30

As an introduction to the art of paper cutting you will discover how contemporary artists have used this technique in their own style. You will then work through a range of exercises to build confidence and improve precision before creating a final paper cut using a combination of illustration and typography. All materials and tools are included.

Blind Contour Drawing

Train your eye to draw what it really sees, rather that what it thinks it sees. During this workshop we will be completing a range of exercises to improve your observational drawing and illustration skills. You will then produce a final blind contour illustration using the skills you have developed throughout the workshop.
All drawing materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
